Quanta are discrete packets. Photons are quanta of electromagnetic waves.

Energy is transmited in the form of discrete packets called quanta,and that of light is called photon

Also discrete here signifies that the packet is only of that particular size for that particular wavelength/frequency. So for v=1,2,3 and so on it is different in each case some might have bigger packets and some might have smaller ones. So for photon it becomes Quanta=hv, is for that frequency of photon you are considering.
